Established in 1941 Thermo Electric (“TE”) has been the Design Leader and Premier Manufacturer of Industrial Temperature Sensors serving customers throughout the world. For over 65 years The “TE” logo has been associated with every processing industry and boasts an historic legend of design applications second to no other manufacturer of temperature sensors.
Since its inception Thermo Electric has worked with major corporations and world-wide process engineering firms to assist in the development and evolution of their specific sensor designs for the broadest range of industrial applications. Its manufacturing capabilities are supported by an outstanding and truly global cadre of technical engineers and a well-trained and seasoned staff of professional technicians. Both have developed their skills and technical knowledge over many generations.
Recent History
On January 1st, 2005 a newly constituted Thermo Electric Company, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, managed by a new Board of Directors and Management Team reorganized the physical assets and intellectual property of Thermo Electric Co. Inc. (a New Jersey company) with the goal of reinvigorating the business activities of Thermo Electric to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Included in the reorganization was Thermo Electric (Canada), Ltd. and Thermo Electric (UK) Ltd., its Canadian and European operations respectively. Concurrent with the reorganization was the addition of Thermodynamic Sensors, the successor firm of CGS Scientific, itself a significant temperature sensor manufacturer.
On July 1, 2008 the Board of Directors of Thermo Electric further restructured the operations of the Company such that the company’s global Corporate Offices were relocated after 57 years from Saddle Brook New Jersey to a modern manufacturing facility located in West Chester PA; the operations of its Saddle Brook plant were relocated to a modern facility in Totowa New Jersey; and a new manufacturing facility of Thermo Electric was established in Cleveland Ohio. With its Houston Sales Office, located in the center of the US petro-chemical industry, the US operations of Thermo Electric are now under one US operating company. It in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Thermo Electric Company, Inc. the parent company of all Thermo Electric subsidiaries world-wide.
On January 1, 2009 TE established Thermo Electric Company BVBA, a subsidiary sales and trading company located in Balen, Belgium. Its operations are conducted in Euro, making this our fourth operating currency; USD, CAD, GBP and Euro. In September of 2009 TE established its Indian manufacturing, sales & service subsidiary located in Gurgaon Haryana India with its operations conducted in Indian Rupee.
Thermo Electric presently boasts manufacturing capabilities at six different locations; West Chester, Pennsylvania; Totowa, New Jersey; Cleveland, Ohio; Sittingbourne, England; Brampton, Ontario Canada; and Gurgaon, Haryana India. In addition, the Company maintains a regional sales office in Houston, Texas and a trading & distribution company in Balen, Belgium. Its upgraded and integrated system capabilities now make it possible for Thermo Electric to manage, manufacture and ship from any one of its facilities around the world. TE remains today the premier “global” sensor manufacturer with truly an international array of engineering design support and manufacturing capabilities.
Corporate Governance and Management Infrastructure
Thermo Electric Company Inc. is a Delaware C Corporation governed by a Board of Directors comprised of professionals with diverse backgrounds from both within and outside the Temperature Sensor Industry. The Company is managed by its President and CEO, who reports to the Board of Directors. The Company's President manages its global operations through a Corporate Management Committee consisting of Thermo Electric professionals from various company locations. The Board of Directors and the Corporate Management Committee of the new Thermo Electric Company are dedicated to the mandated goal of reinvigorating its operations through internal and external growth strategies in response to evolving customer demands and market opportunities.
The Company’s Management Committee includes the following professionals:
Richard R. Rodelli, President and CEO, formerly an executive at The Irving Trust Company, The Bank of New York and President of BNY Capital Markets, Inc. Mr. Rodelli brings to Thermo Electric years of international trade finance and M&A experience and has been responsible for implementing the build out of the new Thermo Electric multi-location and multi-national business model as the architect of the acquisition and growth strategies of the new Company. Mr. Rodelli is a graduate of Fordham University undergraduate and graduate schools as well as the University of Paris, with an MBA degree in Finance and International Business.
Jose Alberto, “Chief Marketing Officer” (CMO) responsible for the Company’s Global business generation activities, is a twelve year veteran of Thermo Electric and former “General Manager” of the Company’s North American Operations. Mr. Alberto brings to Thermo Electric years of experience in sales and marketing for Thermo Electric and has travelled extensively around the world in support of its global customer base. Mr. Alberto is a business graduate of the New Jersey State University system.
Lou Saia, Corporate Engineering & Technical Support Manager, a thirty year veteran of Thermo Electric, formerly the Company Production Manager he is now responsible for companywide new part generation and design related issues as well as overseeing the Company’s Global Engineering and IT Management activities.
James Abboud, Corporate Sales Administration Manager, responsible for RFQ, Customer Account Management and Global Sales Administration, is a six year veteran of Thermo Electric’s manufacturing & technical sales team and a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University system in Mechanical Engineering and Nanotechnology.
Julio Morales, Corporate Operations Manager, responsible for all Materials Handling Management throughout the TE network; Planning, Procurement, Shipping, Receiving, Calibration and Quality Inspection, is a twenty year veteran of TE having advanced through the Engineering, Procurement, and Inventory Control Departments of the Company. Mr. Morales is a graduate in business administration from the New Jersey State University system.
John Milburn, Corporate Buyer, responsible for the Oversight and Execution of Purchase Orders, Corporate TE Vendor Management, and overall support of project and RFQ is a graduate of Ohio University as well as a certified procurement specialist.
Ralph Vuoncino, Corporate Quality Control & Documentation Manager, a twenty-five year veteran of Thermo Electric having served in its Engineering and Operations departments is responsible for oversight and implementation of our evolving corporate multi-location Polices & Procedures. Mr. Vuoncino is a mechanical engineering graduate from NJIT.
Brandon Conlin, Corporate Manufacturing Manager, a seven year veteran of Thermo Electric’s manufacturing team and responsible for the build out of the Company’s new corporate headquarter manufacturing facility is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University system in Industrial Engineering and Nanotechnology.
Steve Kitabjian, Corporate Accounting Administration Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the company’s accounting activities including invoicing, accounts receivable and payable management, and the company’s treasury management activities. Mr. Kitabjian is an accounting graduate of West Chester University.
Timothy Reynolds, Corporate Comptroller, a professional accountant and former Comptroller of Thermodynamic Sensors, the predecessor company of the present Thermo Electric Pennsylvania is responsible for the periodic audit of all Thermo Electric Companies as well as Tax and payroll related activities. Mr. Reynolds is an accounting graduate of Villanova University.
